Halloween...

This year for Halloween Riley was a leopard kitty and Ethan a Clone Trooper. They got tons of candy as usual...and after several parties we are a bit partied out! Here is a compilation of photos over the past 2 weeks.

There they decorated pumpkins, had a terrific haunted house in the pro-shop downstairs...which Ethan spent most of his time at...and a great hay ride and huge bonfire they roasted marshmallows at.

Field Trip at the Pumpkin Patch

Riley's Kindergarten class took their first field trip to the Pumpkin Patch.

(Her teacher had her baby the day before so she is not with us.)

We had to pick the pumpkins off the vines. The girls were not too crazy about getting their hands dirty.

They had lots of fun with the farm animals. Here Riley is petting a black sheep. She even got to sheer a sheep. She also got to pet a huge show pig, baby ducks, baby chicks, llamas, and her favorite 1 week old bunnies.

Haircut...

Finally cut it...can't tell but a lot shorter in the back. I was sick of the long hair. Will try to get a better photo, Riley took this one.

As you can see she is very sad that she has to leave Mommy. After a lot of tears, she finally let go and ended up having a great day.

Ethan started 3rd grade this year with Mrs. Dillard.

Smoky Mountain Trip

In August we took a trip with Shawn's sister's family to the Smoky Mountains in Pigeon Forge, TN. We spent our days hiking, horse back riding, white water rafting, swimming, relaxing and sight seeing.

Ethan Turns 8

This year to celebrate Ethan turning 8 we went to Pennsylvania to havea party with family.
Star Wars was the theme he chose this year...
Their cousin, Olivia, and Riley enjoying the cake.
Some of Ethan's favorite gifts were army men, squirt guns and a bunch of Star Wars toys.

Newport Aquarium

Just across the city on the Kentucky side is Newport on the Levee. It has a bunch of shops and restaurants as well as an aquarium. Here the kids are standing in front of the aquarium with Cincinnatti in the background. It is a nice city to be so close to.
Of course Ethan's favorites were the dangerous prey. Here the kids are in front of the Barricuda.

The highlight of the trip is that Ethan got to pet an actual shark!
