Just across the city on the Kentucky side is Newport on the Levee. It has a bunch of shops and restaurants as well as an aquarium. Here the kids are standing in front of the aquarium with Cincinnatti in the background. It is a nice city to be so close to.
Of course Ethan's favorites were the dangerous prey. Here the kids are in front of the Barricuda.

Beaches of Destin...
Pool Party!
The highlight in our trip to Florida was the kids being able to hang out with their dearly missed friends. On our second night there Ros and Kim threw a pool party for our families so we could all hang out back at our old neighborhood pool. It was like old times hanging out.
Here Riley is with Callie and Ainsley.

Ethan is the one with the green goggles.
We have only been back a week and already they miss their friends terribly!

Cherry Picking
The end of June we took a road trip over to Pittsburgh to see Shawn's family and attend the Sahli Family Reunion. It was the first year we were able to attend. Ethan and Riley loved all the yummy food and desserts and especially liked playing Bingo. While up there we got to see a lot of family.
Here are some photos taken of the kids picking cherry's off Grandma Black's trees. Fortunately these cherry's are sour for pies so the kids weren't eating too many. They did have fun picking them though.
Shawn's sister Erin and her two children, Oliva and Sammy followed us back to KY for a visit after our trip.
It is nice having family live so much closer now.

Deer Sighting
One of our favorite things about living in KY is our backyard. This is a photo of one of the deer that frequent our yard every evening. They like to eat the weeds and trees just beyond our grass. Once one came up next to me when I was sitting on the deck.
We also have lots of cute bunnies, a groundhog, ducks and even saw some coyotes a way back.
Hopefully by the end of the month we will have our new swing set up for the kids to enjoy. For now they settle with the slip and slide.
