As you can see she is very sad that she has to leave Mommy. After a lot of tears, she finally let go and ended up having a great day.

Ethan started 3rd grade this year with Mrs. Dillard.

Smoky Mountain Trip

In August we took a trip with Shawn's sister's family to the Smoky Mountains in Pigeon Forge, TN. We spent our days hiking, horse back riding, white water rafting, swimming, relaxing and sight seeing.

Ethan Turns 8

This year to celebrate Ethan turning 8 we went to Pennsylvania to havea party with family.
Star Wars was the theme he chose this year...

Some of Ethan's favorite gifts were army men, squirt guns and a bunch of Star Wars toys.

Newport Aquarium

Just across the city on the Kentucky side is Newport on the Levee. It has a bunch of shops and restaurants as well as an aquarium. Here the kids are standing in front of the aquarium with Cincinnatti in the background. It is a nice city to be so close to.
Of course Ethan's favorites were the dangerous prey. Here the kids are in front of the Barricuda.

The highlight of the trip is that Ethan got to pet an actual shark!

Beaches of Destin...

The beginning of July we took a trip back to Destin, FL. We had a great time hanging out with old friends, and getting in some beach time. We even got to go in our old house there and see all the changes they had made.

We had a very nice trip and can't wait to go back again next year.

Pool Party!

The highlight in our trip to Florida was the kids being able to hang out with their dearly missed friends. On our second night there Ros and Kim threw a pool party for our families so we could all hang out back at our old neighborhood pool. It was like old times hanging out.

We have only been back a week and already they miss their friends terribly!

4th of July

We spent our trip at our friends Rich and Jill's house. We loved relaxing by their pool and going to the beach with them. On the 4th they had a party with a bunch of our friends from Niceville.
